George Monbiot – Rewilding

• November 14, 2013 • Comments (2)

In an event hosted by the Gaia Foundation, George Monbiot talks about his new book: ‘Feral: Searching for Enchantment on the Frontiers of Rewilding’.

He makes an impassioned and engaging case for a shift in thinking about conservation – in a revised appreciation of the Gaia theory he describes the benefits of letting nature take control of its own regeneration.

This ‘rewilding’ is a vision for the grand-scale restoration of Earth’s ecosystems, and he shares his personal experience of how rewilding our lives is essential for our own wellbeing too.
