iluna – the new online conscious community

• February 12, 2012 • Comments (0)

iLuna is a new UK-focused, online community for conscious dreamers, explorers and enthusiasts eager to share and learn from each others’ experiences on a leading edge social networking platform.

If you’re interested in collectively evolving consciousness and pursuing personal growth and self development via disciplines like yoga, meditation, tantra, shamanism and reiki, then iLuna could be for you.

Launched in May 2011, iLuna is growing fast and was born from the creators’ experience of working with both people in groups and online networks. The organic project was motivated by the desire to create a conscious social hub which connects everything that up until relatively recently might have been called ‘New Age’ but which has now outgrown the label.

‘The intention of the site is to create a deeper consciousness and portal where people who are passionate about personal growth may log on and share interests, stories, and get to learn more about each others’ life journeys,’ says Mark Blakey, creator of iLuna. ‘iLuna came about with the realisation that the one way to create intimacy was to share openly each other’s experiences, thoughts and dreams,’ Mark elucidates. ‘The site is bringing like minded individuals together for networking and for pooling together with the intent to create a better world.’

With a heartful intention for positive connecting, the site clearly guides you to where you need to go – whether that’s to chat freely with other open-minded people or find the best local practitioner for your current needs – be it a good yoga class or bodyworker, or maybe you’re looking for the chance to chat with new friends on various themed forums that can inspire and enrich your life. On iLuna forums you can discuss and share advice on anything from natural remedies and the latest raw food diets to skillshares and events, while a Gumtree style functionality helps you search for a flat, car or job, and even a workshop, remedy or yoga mat.

The site also offers a useful and up-to-date conscious diary and events calendar, so you can source everything from full moon parties and conscious clubbing weekends to silent retreats and yoga classes.
